Job Summary:
The Congregational Engagement Associate will work closely with the Director of Programming, the Membership & Community Engagement Director and the Executive Director.
This is a unique position in the synagogue space set up for someone who likes to mine data and help create a platform for our team to make data-driven decisions that aid in the organization’s efforts to be efficient.
Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the below areas:
Utilizing Data to Assist Engagement & Programming
• Oversee the data collection that is necessary for supporting membership, congregant & community member engagement. This data will be collected from surveys, event registration forms and other platforms.
• Oversee the data management in ShulCloud (tags & CRM notes) needed to supporting membership, congregant and community member engagement.
• Help drive decision making in areas of engagement & programming by utilizing the data.
• Support marketing and communications with data or other information as needed (i.e. determining best strategies on whom to target, etc.).
• Implement a process to measure metrics for all programs: attendance, impact

Administrative Support in Areas of Engagement & Programming
• Maintain the organization of calendars for the department
• Keep track of office and event inventory and replenish as needed
• Work with a close team of staff to develop, plan and execute successful events
• Research and maintain relationships with outside vendors and venues
• Manage registration system and communication including sending confirmation emails, post-event follow-up, and responding to individual concerns/questions
• Keep up-to-date records of registration and attendance for all programming
• Act as primary contact for event vendors, including venue, caterers, entertainment, and technical needs leading up to the event date and on the event date
• Oversee the ordering and/or preparation of supplies and/or materials needed for programs, including research, pricing, ordering, and inventorying
• Attend events and serve as onsite contact (This may occasionally include evenings and weekends)

Skills and Educational Requirements:
• Excellent verbal communication skills, record-keeping, Outlook, Microsoft Office skills, organization, time management and presentation skills
• Intuitive knowledge of digital platforms – computer savvy
• Effective written communication skills including creating and editing letters
• Accurate and timely completion of work
• Ability to gather information and materials to present them in a professional and creative manner
• Excellent organizational, team and independent work skills
• Desire and dedication to further the goals and mission of Temple Israel
• Bachelor’s degree
